光纖連接器,是光纖與光纖之間進行可拆卸(活動)連接的器件,它把光纖的兩個端面精密對接起來,以使發射光纖輸出的光能量能最大限度地耦合到接收光纖中去,並使由於其介入光鏈路而對系統造成的影響減到最小,這是光纖連接器的基本要求。在一定程度上,光纖連接器影響了光傳輸系統的可靠性和各項性能。 光纖連接器按傳輸媒介的不同可分為常見的矽基光纖的單模和多模連接器,還有其它如以塑膠等為傳輸媒介的光纖連接器;按連接頭結構形式可分為:FC、SC、ST、LC、D4、DIN、MU、MT等等各種形式。其中,ST連接器通常用於佈線設備端,如光纖配線架、光纖模塊等;而SC和MT連接器通常用於網絡設備端。按光纖端面形狀分有FC、PC(包括SPC或UPC)和APC;按光纖芯數劃分還有單芯和多芯(如MT-RJ)之分。光纖連接器應用廣泛,品種繁多。在實際應用過程中,我們一般按照光纖連接器結構的不同來加以區分。以下是一些現在常見的光纖連接器: FC型光纖連接器 這種連接器最早是由日本 NTT研製。FC是Ferrule Connector的縮寫,表明其外部加強方式是採用金屬套,緊固方式為螺絲扣。最早,FC類型的連接器,採用的陶瓷插針的對接端面是平面接觸方式(FC)。此類連接器結構簡單,操作方便,製作容易,但光纖端面對微塵較為敏感,且容易產生菲涅爾反射,提高回波損耗性能較為困難。後來,對該類型連接器做了改進,採用對接端面呈球面的插針(PC),而外部結構沒有改變,使得插入損耗和回波損耗性能有了較大幅度的提高。 SC型光纖連接器 這是一種由日本NTT公司開發的光纖連接器。其外殼呈矩形,所採用的插針與耦合套筒的結構尺寸與FC型完全相同。其中插針的端面多采用PC或APC型研磨方式;緊固方式是採用插拔銷閂式,不需旋轉。此類連接器價格低廉,插拔操作方便,介入損耗波動小,抗壓強度較高,安裝密度高。 ST和SC接口是光纖連接器的兩種類型,對於10Base-F連接來說,連接器通常是ST類型的,對於100Base-FX來說,連接器大部分情況下為SC類型的。ST連接器的芯外露,SC連接器的芯在接頭里面。 雙錐型連接器(Biconic Connector) 這類光纖連接器中最有代表性的產品由美國貝爾實驗室開發研製,它由兩個經精密模壓成形的端頭呈截頭圓錐形的圓筒插頭和一個內部裝有雙錐形塑料套筒的耦合組件組成。DIN47256型光纖連接器這是一種由德國開發的連接器。這種連接器採用的插針和耦合套筒的結構尺寸與FC型相同,端面處理採用PC研磨方式。與FC型連接器相比,其結構要復雜一些,內部金屬結構中有控制壓力的彈簧,可以避免因插接壓力過大而損傷端面。另外,這種連接器的機械精度較高,因而介入損耗值較小。 MT-RJ型連接器 MT-RJ起步於NTT開發的MT連接器,帶有與RJ-45型LAN電連接器相同的閂鎖機構,通過安裝於小型套管兩側的導向銷對準光纖,為便於與光收發信機相連,連接器端面光纖為雙芯(間隔0.75mm)排列設計,是主要用於數據傳輸的下一代高密度光纖連接器。 LC型連接器 LC型連接器是著名Bell(貝爾)研究所研究開發出來的,採用操作方便的模塊化插孔(RJ)閂鎖機理製成。其所採用的插針和套筒的尺寸是普通SC、FC等所用尺寸的一半,為1.25mm。這樣可以提高光纖配線架中光纖連接器的密度。當前,在單模SFF方面,LC類型的連接器實際已經佔據了主導地位,在多模方面的應用也增長迅速。 MU型連接器   MU(Miniature unit Coupling)連接器是以目前使用最多的SC型連接器為基礎,由NTT研製開發出來的世界上最小的單芯光纖連接器,。該連接器採用1.25mm直徑的套管和自保持機構,其優勢在於能實現高密度安裝。利用MU的l.25mm直徑的套管,NTT已經開發了MU連接器系列。它們有用於光纜連接的插座型連接器(MU-A系列);具有自保持機構的底板連接器(MU-B系列)以及用於連接LD/PD模塊與插頭的簡化插座(MU-SR系列)等。隨著光纖網絡向更大帶寬更大容量方向的迅速發展和DWDM技術的廣泛應用,對MU型連接器的需求也將迅速增長。 https://www.raycom.tw/hot_91235.html 光纖連接器Fiber connector的分類 2025-05-20 2026-05-20

Datacenters Drive 25GE Effort Ethernet group includes Google, M'soft Rick Merritt 7/3/2014 09:40 AM EDT  LONDON – A group of five vendors will define specifications for 25 and 50 Gbit/second Ethernet in a move that, if successful, will demonstrate the power of large datacenters to drive technology. The effort also could accelerate adoption of two related technologies -- 100G Ethernet and silicon photonics. Arista, Broadcom, Google, Microsoft, and Mellanox say they formed the 25G Ethernet Consortium to accelerate development of the speed grades to connect rack-mounted servers to top-of-rack (TOR) switches. They suggest big datacenters at Google and Microsoft are ready to move from using 1 and 10G links on individual servers to the new 25 and 50G speeds while the TOR switches upgrade from 10 or 40 to 100G. Earlier this year three separate groups proposed 100 Gbit/s interfaces, mainly aimed at an emerging class of fast links for data center switches. Google alone is said to have more than a million servers in its global datacenters. The big web server sites are now said to represent as much as 20% of all server sales, market watchers say. Missing from the consortium are several other large, competing datacenter operators such as Amazon and Facebook. Also absent are other large networking chip and systems vendors such as Cisco, Intel, and Marvell. The IEEE 802.3 group that traditionally defines Ethernet standards considered working on the 25 and 50G speed grades after a close non-binding vote in a March meeting. The group is now revisiting that decision. In a straw poll at the March IEEE meeting, 30 engineers voted to start a 25G standards effort with 27 voting against and 21 abstaining. A total of 25 said their companies would support such an effort. The "consensus [was] not overwhelming," according to public minutes from the meeting, so a Microsoft datacenter manager who raised the issue declined to make a formal motion to start a 25G effort. The consortium has not publicly released a specification, but comments from its members and analysts suggest its technology will be straightforward. It is expected to use components now coming on to the market supporting 25G serial lanes -- at least some of them geared to use with silicon photonics. "25G and 50G Ethernet can leverage 100G QSFP28 breakout similar to how 10GbE is currently broken out from 40GbE using QSFP+," said Rochan Sankar, a product marketing director from Broadcom, in an email exchange with EE Times. "The 25G Ethernet specification requires a single 25Gbits/s serdes lane and associated PCS/MAC to be implemented in silicon -- which is simply a quarter of the serdes lanes used to support 100GE port over four lanes," he said. "The 50G Ethernet specification uses two serdes lanes and an associated PCS/MAC layer to implement in silicon," Sankar said. Worldwide networking port revenues hit $39 billion says Infonetics April 24, 2014 Lightwave Staff   Market research firm Infonetics Research says worldwide revenues from 1 Gigabit, 10 Gigabit, 40 Gigabit, and 100 Gigabit optical and Ethernet ports grew 5% in 2013 compared to the prior year, reaching $39 billion. Enterprise port revenue grew 5%, and service provider port revenue increased 4%, the firm adds.The figures come from Infonetics’ latest “1G/10G/40G/100G Networking Ports” report, which explores the demand for such network ports, the size of the market and how fast each segment is growing, and which technologies and speeds are being adopted on various types of enterprise and service provider equipment."Deployments of 1G, 10G, 40G, and 100G ports once again grew significantly in 2013, as enterprises and service providers invested in their networks to accommodate the growth in traffic, and revenue growth accelerated as buyers shifted to higher bandwidth and more expensive ports," said Matthias Machowinski, directing analyst for enterprise networks and video at Infonetics Research.1G comprises the lion's share of ports, while 10G delivers the bulk of revenue, though revenue growth is coming from the emerging 40G and 100G segments, according to the report.The 40G market is in transition as service providers move on to 100G; 40G is, however, finding success in the data center network market, resulting in 40G port shipments more than doubling in 2013. FCIA trumpets Gen 6 Fibre Channel February 11, 2014 Lightwave Staff The Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) has unveiled Gen 6 Fibre Channel, its latest standards initiative. Among other advances, Gen 6 Fibre Channel provides an upgrade path from 16GFC to 128GFC. The association expects products based on Gen 6 to be “broadly available” in 2016. The Gen 6 specifications call for a 32GFC option for full-duplex transmission. Market research firm Infonetics Research says in its new “2013 Routing, IP Edge, and Packet-Optical Strategies: Global Service Provider Survey” that 2014 should be a good year for vendors of packet-optical transport systems (P-OTS). Developers of 100 Gigabit Ethernet (100GbE) technology should be smiling as well according to the report, which focuses on 100GE adoption and pricing expectations, use of P-OTS, and the architectural changes occurring to metro networks. “Service providers and vendors have been talking about how to use more optical transport with essential packet functionality to serve as the transport vehicle for packet traffic as an alternative to routers,” said Michael Howard, Infonetics Research’s co-founder and principal analyst for carrier networks in explaining the report’s findings. “Our latest routing strategies study confirms that major changes are underway in carrier networks, with 75% of the operators we talked to using P-OTS now or planning to by 2016.” Due to the pressures of video, mobility, and cloud services, providers are re-architecting their metro networks by distributing a number of functions from a single central “super PoP” to a number of large next-generation central offices (NG-COs) made up of 5 to 10 super COs in a metro area, says Infonetics. These distributed functions include broadband remote access servers (BRAS), content delivery networks (CDNs) and caching, deploying servers and storage in “mini data centers” for colocation and cloud services, and the ability to offer services (such as security) to residential and business customers using network functions virtualization (NFV) withsoftware-defined network (SDN) service chaining. Meanwhile, operators expect to deploy many more 100GbE ports over the next few years, growing from 5% of all their 10/40/100GbE router port purchases in 2013 to 30% in 2015. “We asked at what price they would buy 100GbE for different applications — data center connections, aggregation, core, etc. — and when,” Howard said. “Some operators are already paying 15 times the price of 10GbE for 100GbE because they need it now, and we found that some operators are willing to pay more for 100GbE for specific parts of their networks; for example, over a third are willing to pay a premium for routes with low fiber availability.” However, most carriers will wait until 100GbE pricing comes down to 10 times 10GbE or lower, so it behooves manufacturers to continue developments that lower the price of 100GbE, the analyst concluded. Published in December 2013, Infonetics' 25-page routing strategies survey is based on interviews with router and switch purchase-decision makers at incumbent, independent wireless, competitive, and cable operators from around the world. 2013年第三季台灣通訊產業產值微下滑0.4% 工研院IEK ITIS計畫公佈 2013年第三季我國通訊產業回顧與展望報告,指出當季台灣通訊設備產值較2012年第三季衰退4.6%,產值來到新台幣2,230億元;同時間台灣通訊服務產值為新台幣1,089億元,較2012年同期成長9.6%。總計2013年第三季我國通訊產業產值為新台幣3,319億元,較2012年第三季下滑0.4%。 在通訊設備部分,2013年第三季全球筆記型電腦銷售量較第二季成長10.1%,連帶提升了出貨給筆記型電腦的 WLAN 模組,但仍以802.11n為主。此外,智慧型手機、平板電腦市場需求仍穩健成長,且高階機種內建802.11ac比重開始增加,有助於WLAN模組的整體表現。而內建802.11ac的WLAN AP/Router產品售價逐步降低,民眾的購買意願提升,出貨量也開始提升。故2013年第三季我國 WLAN 產值為新台幣253.3億元,較2013年第二季微幅成長0.8%,年成長率為3.7%。 Ethernet LAN Switch產業部分,今年第三季較2012年第三季成長8.78%,此成長來自北美及中國大陸地區資料中心、雲端運算建置以及高速網路的需求;而資料中心網路虛擬化應用、雲端運算、虛擬私人網路(Virtual Private Network,VPN)以及 IPv6 遷移等趨勢,亦帶動網路設備需求成長,尤其在10G產品比重逐漸提升。 此外受惠於主要客戶如HP、Dell、Juniper、Extreme等品牌大廠訂單穩定提升,整體營收表現呈現持續成長趨勢。因此,2013年第三季我國Ethernet LAN Switch產值為新台幣187.6億元,較2013年第二季成長5.6%,並較去年同期成長9.3%。整體來看,2013年第三季我國網路通訊設備產值為新台幣1,096億元,較2013年第二季成長5.3%,年成長率為2.7%。 個人行動裝置來方面,我國手機ODM廠商在Sony與Nokia中低階機種銷售持續成長的帶動下出貨開始增加,產值產量皆較第二季大幅提升超過50%以上,成為台灣手機產業下半年主要的成長動力。品牌手機業者雖在第三季推出多款新機種,但銷售仍然不如預期,加上中低階機種產品線不足,使得第三季的產值產量皆較上一季衰退超過30%。 2013年第三季手機產業雖因ODM廠商受惠於客戶中低階機種銷售良好,帶動整體產量微幅成長0.8%。然而,品牌手機銷售衰退,使得2013年第三季的產值較去年同期衰退11.9%,為新台幣882.7億元,較2013年第二季下滑9.5%,年減11.9%。 GPS 產業部分,2013年第三季除了PND類產品銷售下滑外,戶外休閒類產品的表現也不如去年同期;所幸健身類、航空與航海類GNSS產品皆有顯著的成長,減緩總體產值的衰退。此外,第三季我國PND產品主要銷售區域-北美的PND市場大幅萎縮有28%之多,也間接影響我國業者的表現。 受到上述因素影響,第三季台廠整體GPS產量呈現衰退,較2012年同期下滑有6.4%;所幸我國業者多集中於中高階產品線經營,仍能維持產品單價,ASP約有新台幣3,713元,較去年同期微幅成長。2013年第三季我國GPS產業總體產值約新台幣249.3億元,較2013年第二季減少5.7%,與2012年同期相比衰退5.7%。就總體表現來看,2013年第三季我國個人行動裝置產值為新台幣1,134億元,較2013年第二季衰退8.8%,並較去年同期減少10.7%。 2013年第三季我國通訊產業產值統計及預估 (單位:新台幣億元) (來源:工研院IEK ITIS計畫,2013/11;註:網路通訊設備次產業包括Ethernet LAN Switch、WLAN、DSL CPE、Cable CPE、IP STB等。個人行動裝置次產業包括手機、衛星定位產品、PHS。通訊服務包括行動通信、室內電話、國際電話、長途電話、電路出租、網際網路及加值服務、MOD) (下一頁繼續:第三季通訊服務產值、當季產業重大事件分析)   在通訊服務方面,行動通訊服務因行動上網用戶持續增加,使得行動加值服務營收成為主要成長動力,截至2013年第三季,行動加值服務營收佔行動通訊服務營收比重超過35%。另外,智慧型手機的熱銷帶動手機銷售收入亦成長6~8%,雖然行動語音業務因市場競爭及調降費率,導致相關營收減少,但整體行動通訊服務營收仍為成長。 固網服務的部分,雖寬頻服務自四月份因通傳會而調降費率,但電信營運商以網路升速、套餐加值服務,來減緩費率調降對固網服務營收所造成的衰退幅度,目前中華電信的光世代寬頻用戶已達到289.9萬戶,其中60Mbps的用戶就達108.6萬戶。整體而言,2013年第三季我國通訊服務營收為新台幣1,089億元,較2013年第二季成長2.1%,年成長率為9.6%。 2013年第三季重大事件分析 1. 聯發科、瑞昱投入高階乙太網路交換器晶片開發: 近來由於資料中心及雲端應用興起,高階網路基礎設施需求浮現,但是因為我國乙太網路交換器晶片開發主要以中低階產品為主,高階乙太網路交換器晶片市場一直是Broadcom的天下。因此瑞昱及聯發科開始評估投入發展新一代高階網路交換器晶片的可能性。兩業者建立研發團隊,與國內法人或業者合作,開始投入研發工作。其目標即針對新一代軟體定義網路 (Software Defined Networking,SDN)架構開發適用於資料中心與特定行業企業用戶用高階交換器晶片產品線。 瑞昱及聯發科投入高階乙太網路交換器晶片開發,將有助於我國交換器產業發展與升級,可加速網路交換器設備上市時程,並且由邊緣網路設備朝向資料中心核心網路設備發展。SDN網路架構以控制層的SDN控制器軟硬體為核心,後續網路交換器晶片業者應與台灣交換器、伺服器、工業電腦、軟體開發業者、電信業者以及法人等進行策略聯盟,為其後續晶片開發與商品化提前布局,才能在新興網路架構典範轉移過程中,掌握核心技術並取得市場先機。    2. 宏達電積極重整中低階機種,期提升今年市佔率: 宏達電(HTC)在2013年第三季末起,將陸續推出多款Desire 3/5/6/7系列的中低階機種,期藉增加機種款式提高市佔率。宏達電雖在上半年推出旗艦機種,下半年亦推出One mini、Butterfly S、One Max等高階機種,但由於旗艦機種上市時間落後,且成熟市場飽和的影響下,使得宏達電前三季皆持續面臨衰退的狀況,故第三季起增加中低階款式,以期拉抬市佔率。不過,第四季亦將是各廠商的競爭旺季,宏達電即便能藉由新中低階機種微幅提高市佔率,但對於產值貢獻可能仍不顯著。 3. 中華電信新增行動上網計量包資費方案,可望吸引更多用戶申辦: 中華電信為擴大行動上網用戶市場,針對行動網路用量較低的輕量型客戶,於3G放心講資費方案新增「上網計量包」服務。因此,用戶不僅可選擇月租方案來使用行動上網服務,客戶還可依據個人需求自由搭配100MB/100元羽量型以及1GB/180元中量型兩種上網計次型服務,選擇最適合的上網資費。 「上網計量包」服務於開通後30天內有效,當客戶剩餘傳輸量低於30MB、10MB與用罄,及服務有效期限屆滿前1天與屆滿時,均將發送簡訊主動通知;而當客戶可用傳輸量低於 30MB時,則可再次申請本服務,有效期限將由最後一次購買日重新起算30天,前次未使用完之傳輸量由系統主動累加,預估在提供客戶更加彈性的使用方案下,將可擴大行動上網用戶規模。 產業未來展望 通訊設備產業方面,受惠於高階智慧型手機內建 802.11ac 模組比重持續提升,將可小幅提升第四季WLAN產值;然而Switch、IP STB、DSL CPE、Cable CPE因第四季需求持平,產值將較上一季略為減少。我國手機ODM廠商第四季將受惠於主要客戶中低階機種需求,維持成長,然而品牌業者的產品推出稍落後於市場商機,第四季可能持續衰退;而GPS業者布局運動導航機種則可望在第四季看見效益。整體而言,預估2013年第四季我國通訊設備產值將為新台幣2,160億元,較2013年第三季下滑3.1%。 在通訊服務產業上,各家行動服務業者陸續於第四季開賣iPhone 5S、5C,另有業者更推出多款獨家代理手機,預估此將可以帶動整體行動上網服務營收。寬頻固網服務方面,營運商仍以佈局數位電視套餐服務業務為主,將可小幅帶動固網服務營收,故預估2013年第四季我國通訊服務營收可達到新台幣1,093億元,較第三季微幅成長0.4%。而就通訊產業總體來看,2013年第四季我國通訊產業產值預估為新台幣3,253億元,較上一季下滑2.0%。 2013年網通設備廠商透過承接品牌代工訂單、增加直接與營運商、企業合作的比重,使得Switch、WLAN、Cable CPE產值皆較2012年小幅成長,然而。受到中低階產品代工訂單減少與客戶調整產品線影響,DSL CPE與IP STB產值將較去年稍有下滑。 個人行動裝置方面,雖然我國手機代工廠商將獲得中低價機種銷售成長刺激,帶動產值產量的成長;但我國品牌手機廠仍將面臨中低價機種市場的競爭。預估2013年我國手機產值產量將受到品牌手機廠銷售的影響,較2012年有顯著衰退。故就整體表現來看,我國2013年通訊設備產值將較2012年減少9.7%,產值為新台幣8,500億元。 通訊服務方面,隨著語音服務營收持續減少下,行動上網服務和數位電視套餐服務便成為各電信業者重點業務,2013年持續透過促銷方案、獨家代理、免費體驗等吸引民眾申辦,成功帶動營收成長,預估2013年我國通訊服務營收可達到新台幣4,331億元,較2012年成長8.5%。 基於上述因素,IEK ITIS預估2013年全年度我國通訊產業產值預估有新台幣1兆2,831億元,較2012年下滑4.3%。   此文章源自《電子工程專輯》網站: http://www.eettaiwan.com/ART_8800692192_675327_NT_571ae998.HTM  https://www.raycom.tw/hot_91203.html 2013年第三季台灣通訊產業產值微下滑0.4% 2025-05-20 2026-05-20

Data center and enterprise SDN market to exceed 3 billion by 2017 says Infonetics December 8, 2013 Lightwave Staff   "The important question that everyone wants answered is, 'What's the real market for SDN?'," says Cliff Grossner, Ph.D., directing analyst for data center and cloud at Infonetics Research. And the market research firm has attempted to answer that question. In its newly released Data Center and Enterprise SDN Hardware and Software report, Infonetics says the data center and enterprise software-defined networking (SDN) market will be worth over $3 billion by 2017.While the Open Networking Foundation (ONF) has begun to consider how to apply SDN to carrier transport networks (see“Open Networking Foundation plans its 2013”) and several systems houses have launched their own efforts, the Infonetics report covers SDN controllers and Ethernet switches in use for SDN – what the research firm calls “the 'real' market for SDN” – separately from SDN-capable Ethernet switches."It's still early days, but our research over the last two years confirms that SDN controllers and Ethernet switches in use for SDN will play a role in enterprise and data center networks, growing to a $3.1 billion market by 2017," says Grossner. "Wide scale in-use SDN deployments will occur first in the data center with large enterprises and cloud service providers, followed closely by the enterprise LAN. We're already seeing significant use cases for SDN in the enterprise LAN providing security and unification of wired and wireless networks, and enabling BYOD (bring your own device)."Infonetics points out that the market is still young and that the majority of enterprises are still “kicking the tires” on SDN. Nevertheless, the space has seen early deployments for the large data centers of cloud service providers and large enterprises such as Google, NTT, AT&T, Verizon, DT, BT, and China Mobile.Meanwhile, vendors have already begun shipping SDN products. This year has seen offerings from such companies as Alcatel-Lucent, Big Switch, Brocade, Cisco, Cumulus, Dell, Extreme, HP, Huawei, IBM, Juniper, Midokura, NEC, Pica8, Plexxi, Plumgrid, VMware, and others, Infonetics points out.Looking forward, Infonetics expects 10% of Ethernet switches will be in use for SDN by 2017.
